The identity begins with a question: what does this organisation believe that it would be willing to lose customers over? In the case of Midline Books, the answer was clear enough to build an entire system around.
Every decision — the typeface selection, the colour restraint, the proportional system — derives from that single commitment. Nothing decorative. Nothing hedged.
